Industrial Engineer 

The Industrial Engineer role provides process optimization support that results in cost savings for Antares Pharma, Inc. and will be based at Antares corporate headquarters. This will include developing, evaluating and optimizing manufacturing processes that result in more efficient operations and yield measurable cost savings that are sustainable.

In addition, it is expected they will develop and recommend changes that will drive improvements. The industrial engineer is expected to work with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and various other groups in order to improve manufacturing processes. Support the development and implementation of process improvements. Develop key performance indicators and metrics to illuminate manufacturing performance.


Industrial Engineers are business partners working with various departments at Antares with the goal of improving the manufacturing processes and reducing costs of an organization. The Industrial engineer will play an active role in decision making and should recommend and direct changes in operating procedures to improve efficiencies. Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with internal departments (Operations, Manufacturing and Supply Chain) to develop, maintain, and improve enterprise metrics and reporting tools.
  • Engage external manufacturers and internal departments to identify cost savings opportunities. Implement solutions that result in measurable and sustainable cost savings.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to execute continuous improvement projects at Antares manufacturing facility.
  • Identify manufacturing process optimization opportunities and work closely with Operations and Engineering to implement improvements.
  • Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships with and between internal departments.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (degree, license, certification):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) Certification
  • MBA preferred


  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial Engineering role within a Pharmaceutical or Medical Dvice company. 


  • Highest standards of accuracy and organization.
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
  • Advanced knowledge of medical device production, assembly and packaging machinery, processes and standards.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly grasp issues and understand strategy.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and other records and to recognize trends and anomalies.
  • Capable of working independently and making logical, effective decisions with information provided.
  • Proficient in balancing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership orientation.
  • Expertise with MS Office software.
  • Superior analytical, quantitative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detail-oriented work.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
